On Saturday, August 6, I’ll be teaching a screen-printing workshop at the Textile Museum as part of their current exhibition Green- the color and the cause.

Workshop attendees will learn the hand drawn stencil technique of screen printing and will create a pattern using some text of their choice. Participants are encouraged to bring in their favorite quote, lyric, bit of poetry, etc to reproduce.

Attendees can also bring in whatever materials (old curtains, wallpaper, sheets, tees, cardboard, paper) to print on once their stencil is created.

Handouts with detailed instructions will be distributed so the project can be repeated at home.
